1849 Braided Hair Half Cent -- 90 degree Rotated Reverse - UNC

A rare piece -- only a little more than 39,000 were minted.
I am selling off the rest of my collection with my ownership of some pieces going back over 50 years.  I acquired this coin in 1968 as a birthday present from my dad.  He found it during demolition of a house in Massachusetts, so likely it was a "lucky coin" that was placed in the wall when the house was built.  The house was from about the period of the coin, which explains why it is high state of preservation.  The reverse is rotated 90 degrees -- I've seen one other for sale recently that went for more than my price that was in the same condition.  T
he light striking of the date appeared the same on the other piece I saw.
There are still red areas around the lettering and devices on both sides of this coin.  Only one little discolouration on the C of "AMERICA" detracts from this beautiful 171-year-old coin.
It has a nice brown lustre that is difficult to show with the lighting that I have available.
